The President blasts Republicans in the Senate who are blocking unemployment insurance and small business tax breaks to create jobs -- even as they push for permanent, massive tax cuts for the richest Americans.
Once again the President is calling out the "Party of NO" on their obstruction of everything, but especially the Unemployment Benefits that are so very needed right now. Never before has one party in Congress ever stopped UI benefits... but with the "Party of NO" they don't care..... all they are concerned in is trying to win.
Will they win in November... I hope not... but they might gain a few... If so NOTHING will get done next year or the year after...
I can only hope this will backfire on them and they will lose again. That's what I am thinking, with all their obstructing they will actually lose seats. Get out the vote... and hope this will work.

Americans have a choice. They can support Obama's attempts to improve things, imperfect as they are, or go back to the same GOP plan that caused this mess: tax cuts for the rich, welfare and deregulation for giant corporations, and the shaft for the rest of us.
You bet TC... and that's exactly what we need to remind people of. We are climbing out of a hole that was dug by the GOBP and they want to keep digging it deeper...
Dems must pound away on this theme, and they probably will.
President Obama and the Dem leadership have been impressive in their ability to wring what they can out of a system stacked against them. The time has come, though, to win by losing: Submit a big jobs bill, and let the Republicans defeat it. Make some cosmetic changes, then resubmit. And again and again and again. I.e., make them vote repeatedly against jobs in the middle of an election.
You are correct K, and I think that's what they are planning to do... The bill for UI and the jobs portion of it is scheduled for another vote I believe this week... We shall see what happens.
After all their bragging how great the GOP is doing and how poorly the Democrats are doing, I would be elated beyond belief if the GOP LOST seats! I want so badly to hear the excuse for that one! LOL
I am with you Sue... and I do think the will lose some... at least I am sure hoping they will...lol
I'll be thrilled when the GOP loses some seats - and they will. They've worn out the word "No."
Yes, I agree Leslie... we just have to keep focusing and working to get the word out about how bad they really are.
