Health Care Reform Bill From House

The House has introduced their version of the Health Reform Bill. How happy am I? It includes a Public Option just as we all wanted and as the President wanted. It also states it will insure 97% of the uninsured.

You can find the full text and the bill by clicking on the link highlighted here:

I haven't read all of it, but have looked it over briefly, so far so good. I know there will be changes, modifications and tinkers done to it before the final product is written.

This is only the House version. We still have to see the version from the Senate. But at least we are making progress. I guess they got the message from the President yesterday when he said there would be something done.

Suck that everyone, who said it wouldn't get there.. suck that all of you who said the President wasn't involved.

Great news...at least progress is being made. I'm sure there will be a lot of wrangling back and forth when the Senate tries to come up with their version but at least something may actually happen!

Some people just don't believe it's possible to effect change without sturm und drang. Obama is a peacemaker and consensus builder, such hand-shaking and horse-trading is nearly unkown in the GOP these days.
