Pictures From the Wingnuts March, 9-12-09 Failed UPDATE, Picture Added!

Yesterday Glenn Beck had his infamous 9-12-09 rally in Washington,DC. He has been talking about this for months now.

He cried, he boohooed and he whined, that he wanted to bring back the feelings we all had from 9-12-01.

Well, excuse me Mr. Crazy man Beck, but I don't remember feeling like the idiots were on parade on 9-12-01, like they were yesterday. I don't remember feeling like there were going to be killings and lynchings on the Capitol steps like I did yesterday.

I also don't remember feeling like someone opened up the door of the local asylum and let the people off their meds for the last 2 weeks and turned them loose on the streets of Washington, DC to take over.

But, that's what it was like in DC yesterday. The crazies were in charge and they had the signs to prove it.

Here are a couple of real winners here... one even on a child.. who didn't even have a clue I am sure who he was talking about.

And this one, which shows exactly where these people get their ideas and their brainwashing from. Please note the SPELLING...sorry I should have pointed that out earlier.. Thanks Sue for bringing it to my attention again.

For more pictures, go check out Sue's blog at Helloooo...Mr. President, are you listening? She has a great bunch of the Wingnuttery there. She's been watching it for a couple of days and writing about it.. She also has some of the perpetrators coming to her blog that are fun to debate with... lol

Bob Cesca has been posting quite a bit on the wingnuts and the pictures at his place and as always is on top of most of the asshattery. So you can check out Bob Cesca's Awesome Blog! Go! and find all kinds of wonderful stuff.

My newest friend in the blog world is TomCat.. MauiGirl pointed me at him and I have quickly come to love his blog and him.. He is wonderful and has been around for a while, but due to tragic circumstances had to be off the net for a while. Now he is back and better than ever. So go check him out at Politics Plus.

Then there are just all the others on the rolls.. you can check them out but those 3 are the most important. So check out Sue, Bob and Tom.. You won't regret the time you spend at any of them.

There have been some comments and some arguments by certain people about the size of the crowds, so here is a comparison shot of the crowd yesterday and the crowd at Pres. Obama's Inauguration. The picture on the right was taken we know on Jan. 20th and the crowd was estimated at about 1.5 million people. Today, the DC Fire department has estimated the size of the crowd at around 60,000. Nowhere near the 2 million Michelle Malkin tried to claim and what she said ABC News stated, however ABC has refuted that claim and said they NEVER said that in any way shape or form.

Take a look at this shot and tell me what the crowd looks like to you.

Did you catch the last pictures spelling mishap?? Not only are they stupid but they really need to learn to spell check before going out in public! LOL!! Dear Lord, infromed people aren't they LOLOL!

yes, I did...lol

HELLO, spelled that way for a reason?

How is millions of people showing up a failed event?

Sue said...

anon, dear lord, please be informed!! Its being reported factually 60,000. And why would infromed be spelled that way on purpose? is there a secret message behind it?

Mainstream news sources state the attendees were about 60-70,000 tops. last time I checked, that doesn't count as a million. Too bad when people are too cowardly to put a name to their comments.

It is always disturbing to me when children are used as pawns in political arguments. Throwing your kid out on a streetcorner to do your dirty work is morally repugnant, but not surprising with the folks we're dealing with here.

Great post, as usual! You never disappoint, Girl. Will check out the rest you recommended!

Keep the faith!

The responses here are highly loaded with dismissive language and ad hominem attacks.

If you are as much more endowed in the cranium than these protestors as you would have us believe, have the mental fortitude to engage in a debate. This should be an easy task if they are so misguided as you say. You can even discuss it amongst yourselves on your ivory towers if you are fearful of the small-minded masses.

Don't become self-absorbed internet trolls. Don't sling insults, talk issues.

Sue said...

these wingnuts don't debate, all they do is quote Beck and Limpballs!!

i love how the goopers troll the internets and play the victim card. they love throwing the insults around, but when the tables are turned, they turn into whiny little babies, like their leader, glenn dreck.

I just wrote a wonderful long piece and it erased it all - I am not bothering to do it over. I was kind in that one and reflective and now I am possed at the loss of my good kind work so here comes my annoyed mood instead.

-Let's just say- if you wanted to you could have shown a few more than 3 pictures of 60,000 no?
Perhaps you could have shown an aeral shot? There is a few wonderful ones - there is even a time lapse one and a blimp shot showing no only the mile long should to shoulder mass which included an 88 year old WWll vet on a walker all the side roads also filled to capacity beginning 8 am until 3 pm.

But then you would have to explain how they prove over a million point 5 and how you and others like you came up with 3 lousy photos of a few signs that did not meet expectations.

By the way did you do any hah hah pieces on the ACORN cruds that you people adore? Just wondering? how smart you think those mothers were who run those ACORN offices with their kids there while they instruct hookers and pimos how to buy brothels and import somebody else's little girls in for sex trade.

And these people with signs may not be able to spell to your standards but they don't pimp off kids that easy either . I hope my spelling meets your APPROVAL! I sure wouldn't want to not live up to your expectations.

By the way - for the record- the wingnuts out there - are RIDsNow.

One more thing- I don't usually waste my time with folks like you - not sure why I did this time- I just want to point out that you continually call names- and have nothing to say- I wonder why?
glen dreck- limp balls whiney babies , terrible signs , can't spell, play the victim card.

Just for the hell of it - I have to say you have a funny HABBIT of projecting your foibles on others. I will just leave it at that- I have already wasted too much time here - not sure why I bothered- i learned long agon not to cast any perls among...

One more thing- If you have the nuts to leave this one here- try this for truth:

CSPAN Coverage can be viewed here: liberty-or-death.ning.com/page/cspanvideo-teaparty-dc

"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them." --Thomas Jefferson

FreeMeNow I am not deleting anything, you are free to say what you want. The honest reporting on the size of the crowd has been from the DC Fire Department and it was estimated at around 60,000. Period.. now you can try to inflate the numbers all you want, come here and yell I am being one sided and putting just 3 pictures up or two or whatever it was.. but you scrolled past another post that had many more pictures in it.. So you are picking what you want to see and talk about.

Mr. Beck, who was the organizer of this event bragged that he would have millions of people and he wanted to have the spirit of what it was like in America on 9-12-01.. I remember that day very well.. it was a feeling of Unity, of pride in our country, of feeling like we were ONE.. Not of feeling like the hatred, the ugliness and the racism we are seeing now from these people, and what is being promoted by Beck, Limbaugh, Hannity and all the others who have big microphones.

You can come here and spew your hatred all you want, I don't try to stop anyone from speaking out. But I will not let you abuse the privilege I let people have.

Actually, there are some estimates that have the attendance up to 2million people (Britain's Daily Mail). And this event was a very peaceful event. People have a RIGHT to "peaceable assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances".

Now for all you socialists loving liberals that IS part of our Constitution under the First Amendment. The reason why MANY (that doesn't mean ALL) of those people are peaceable assembling is that they feel the government is violating the Constitution (Which it is when you actually READ it and find that Congress only has 17 powers and Healthcare, and all the other social programs that are bankrupting our country are not listed as part of those powers).

(Just in Case you try to bring this up) For all you liberals a TRUE conservative does not support WHY we went to war in Iraq, because the President does not have that power. Only CONGRESS can declare war (giving the President temporary power is not a power they have the right to give away to the President or anyone), which would make the last FOUR wars unconstitutional. Just mentioned that because you guys like to lump us in Bush's camp. He was not a true conservative. We are trying to conserve "limited" government that keeps power in check and limited by the US Constitution, and protects our liberties and freedoms.

It just seems to me that you guys try to ridicule anyone who actually loves freedom and liberty. The very values that many have fought and died for in our country.

Oh my....I hope for your sake the number stays at 60k....or you're going to be lookin like a koolaid drinking libtard LOL. BTW: if 60k is a failure...what would be a win in your mind? I'm not a crowd counting expert but some of the photos I've seen look like a lot more than 60k.

Annette said...

If you care to check it out.. you can go to the ABC web site and check for yourself. I am not going to debate or argue with you.. I am reporting what they are saying.. that's what I am standing by.. and Beck is the one who said it would be millions who would attend.. so by his reckoning only 60,000 showing up when he expected millions... that's a failure.

There is the site.. it is too late and I am too tired to embed it.. you will have to copy and paste it.. good luck.

That last picture is very misleading. A different organization had secured a license to use the grassy part of the national mall that day. We were asked not to congregate on the grass of the mall. Being peaceful and respectful law abiding citizens, the folks of the tea party listened and stayed off the mall. As a result, the sidewalks and streets were very packed with people. The sides of the mall, not the grassy parts were packed with people going all the way back past the Washington Monument.

The crowd was peaceful, respectful and friendly. The only thing the police had to do for the crowd was to help a couple of children find their parents when they got lost in the vast crowd.

The bias photographer who took this picture clearly didn’t want to show any more than a small section of the grassy mall just to make a poor and misleading point. From the front of the rally, you couldn’t see the end of the crowd of people. No wonder the liberals are so clueless when this is sort of reporting is where they get their information.

Sad and pathetic. They should be greatful they have people like the tea party patriots looking out for them and all Americans.

FYI, Annette...Glenn Beck had nothing to do with the organization of this event. This was all grassroots, everyday American's who took time out of their own lives spent their own money, and let their own voices be heard. No one had to pay us, no one had to bribe us, all they had to do was ask us to come and we did. This was the true voice of America. Deal with it.

BobbyHughes said...

Hey lefties in case you are misinformed (which im sure you are not, you would just like to spin this event to be some kindve joke) the 9/12 march did not have permits to stand on the Mall, where you are showing in your "gotcha" pic. How about you show 16th street, the place that reached a critical mass of 1.5million according to police so they ushered the overflow to stand in the mall. Also, have you ever seen a liberal protest? Talk about wack jobs, they practically sell acid and shrooms at those events like its some kindve Phish concert. Face it your man is polling lower than carter, remember what happened to carter? Oh and dont forget to remind yourself we still have to PAY for the 12 trillion dollar debt, lets see how many people that pisses off when the bill comes in.

BobbyHughes said...

The REAL crowd (or maybe about half of the crowd) POLICE reports confirm at least 1.2million people attended this event, you can call them right now and ask.

Hi Annette,

I'm embarrassed for you ...

Mis-represent & personalize, isolate and ridicule ... hopefully that is not the 'new' American way.

Here is a URL that also hosts major networks videos: http://arkansasgopwing.blogspot.com/2009/09/91209-taxpayer-march-on-washington.html

Unless you were there please make an effort to be better informed. I've lived in DC and attended 4th of July and other major events and according to the pictures (other than the one you posted) 60,000 seems like a very, low number ...

Why is so difficult to acknowledge citizens who paid their own way to underscore a position... is ridicule how you want your position 'handled' or is that a "my side only tactic'? By the way, according to polls these aren't the only folks who feel that way Annette...

One parting shot. I've attended a Tea Party to see one for myself, have you?

What I found was: real live, well-behaved, tax-paying, concerned, mid-level, frustrated US individual citizens who are not being listened to ... and cleaned up after themselves after the event ... they weren't "Beckers" what ever that is...

Please try to control your bias and let's all ratchet down demeaning comments. The First Amendment is a right for ALL USA citizens. So is honest reporting.

Thanks!

Sam

Good point. On the subject of spell checking, there is a good program Spell Check Anywhere (SpellCheckAnywhere.Com) that adds spell checking to all programs. Might be of interest.

Tomer, the misspelling was in the sign.. not on my post.. infromed was the word that was wrong.. sorry, I should not have to point that out to anyone.. but you just prove my point about how bad things are in your world.

Holy shit.

This place is crawling with hit and run wingnuts.

I love a good roast.

FreeCorporationsNow used this Jefferson quote out of context as is the general case with liars and idiots:

"Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them if we basely entail hereditary bondage on them." --Thomas Jefferson

The full Thomas Jefferson quote from "A Declaration by the Representatives of the United Colonies of North-America, Now Met in Congress at Philadelphia, Setting Forth the Causes and Necessity of Their Taking Up Arms" and reads as follows:

"We have rceived certain intelligence, that general Carelton[Carleton], the governor of Canada, is instigating the people of that province and the Indians to fall upon us; and we have but too much reason to apprehend, that schemes have been formed to excite domestic enemies against us. In brief, a part of these colonies now feel, and all of them are sure of feeling, as far as the vengeance of administration can inflict them, the complicated calamities of fire, sword and famine. We(2) are reduced to the alternative of chusing an unconditional submission to the tyranny of irritated ministers, or resistance by force. -- The latter is our choice. -- We have counted the cost of this contest, and find nothing so dreadful as voluntary slavery. -- Honour, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to surrender that freedom which we received from our gallant ancestors, and which our innocent posterity have a right to receive from us. We cannot endure the infamy and guilt of resigning succeeding generations to that wretchedness which inevitably awaits them, if we basely entail hereditary bondage upon them."

Jefferson also said this: "I am certainly not an advocate for frequent and untried changes in laws and constitutions. I think moderate imperfections had better be borne with; because, when once known, we accommodate ourselves to them, and find practical means of correcting their ill effects. But I know also, that laws and institutions must go hand in hand with the progress of the human mind. As that becomes more developed, more enlightened, as new discoveries are made, new truths disclosed, and manners and opinions change with the change of circumstances, institutions must advance also, and keep pace with the times. We might as well require a man to wear still the same coat which fitted him when a boy, as civilized society to remain ever under the regimen of their barbarous ancestors."

-- to Samuel Kercheval, July 12, 1810

Thomas Jefferson just told these wingnuts that "change" is needed to adapt to the new world they refuse to acknowledge.

I'm pretty sure the domestic terrorists in the first quote Jefferson alluded to isn't the duly elected president and congress, rather the McCarthyists holding up the subliminal "I'm with stupid" signs.

Tell Thomas Jefferson that "Honor, justice, and humanity, forbid us tamely to" allow the death and despair and financial ruin of individuals beholding to the whims of private health insurance entities.

People are sick, fearful, and dying and wingnuts are obstructing resolution and government intervention because someone told them that a national credit card debt on the tab of a $13-plus trillion dollars a year producing nation supercedes the body of the republic directly protecting the lives and livlihood of its citizens.

It's pathetic and sadistic. That's what I call "self-evident."

Corporations are the new monarchies, dipshits, and you're part of "the mob" which Jefferson loathed.

This is still a constitutional republic, no thanks to the Confederate GOP and their pawns of domestic right wing terrorism.

AND I DUNNO WHAT U WILL SAY ONCE THINGS GO DOWN THE SHYTTER, WHO WILL U BLAME THEN?

I think in the end, the crowd will top 500,000 people when all the studies are in but why don't we wait until some sort of forensic study is done instead of listing sound bites as fact!

The fact remains that our country is in debt up to our eyeballs and if you add in the unfunded liability to Social Security and Medicaid (all parts) estimated at a minimum of $50 trillion and as high as $99 trillion (by the Dallas Federal Reserve Chairman, I would think he ought to know!), then every family in the US owes about $500,000!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't you people do simple math for crying out loud!!!!!!

Stories this week are talking about how foreign investors don't really have much interest in owning our government debt any more. Would you loan a bankrupt company money? NO! Do you know what this means??? Did you take economics??? Interest rates are artificially low right now and when the government runs out of money to keep those interest rates down, well, can you say "the Carter days are BACK!!"

You have no idea what this government spending spree is going to cost your kids, grandkids, great grandkids and many generations to come. Are you THAT SELF SERVING???

The Democrats are supposed to be for the working people. How do you suppose the "working people" are going to pay off their half a million dollar debt?

Answer: They're NOT! Instead, they are going to be faced with rampaging inflation and more job losses. Get a grip folks. We either deal with this NOW or face a certain death of American life as we know it.

And why was Leighann being censored by the author...too many facts? Sorry I missed those posts. This is America, free speech abounds!
