Check out ZenYenta, Get a Dose of Reality

One of my favorite bloggers has a great post up about the indefinite detention that Pres. Obama mentioned yesterday, and that seems to have Glenn Greenwald and Rachel Maddow all up in the air. In fact Rachel was just foaming at the mouth angry last night about this.

I can sorta understand how everyone is suspicious after the last 8 years. We have been screwed over so much, by what BushCo did to our Country, and to others in our name. But someday we have to start trusting our President again.

We can't just assume every time he says something it is bad or it will turn out badly for us. Besides, with the way Congress is challenging him at every step of the way, I don't think we have a lot to worry about.

He laid out the guidelines of what he had planned, it is much different from what Bush had in place, and it certainly seems as if it will be above board. But, check out ZenYenta and see what she says about it.

She can explain it much better than I and with more authority too. She also stated that she would have more information this weekend.

So like I said head over to ZenYenta and check her out, see what she has to say and then make your decision.

Maybe it really is time to start to trust our President once again. We can still be wary, and have trust.

TPM has a review of Pete's Birthday Bash

Head over to Talking Points Memo and see the review they have of Pete's birthday bash. It is good and makes some pretty valid points.

Thanks to ZenYenta for pointing me in that direction.

Here's what some of what TPM had to say:

But here's the amazing thing. In my life, I have never been to a concert (let alone a lefty concert) at which the name of the President of the United States was cheered. At previous concerts I've been to over the decades, the names of Kennedy, Johnson, Carter or Clinton were no more likely to be cheered than those of Reagan or Bush.

I have to disagree just a bit, because I seem to remember them cheering some during the last few years when shrubs name was mentioned at some concerts for the troops.. and they would talk about him and the wars. But maybe they were cheering the troops..I can't remember.. I was watching on teevee.

Springsteen said that he never saw Seeger more happy than at Obama's inauguration, noting that Seeger saw Obama's ascendancy as proof that he, Seeger, had "outlived the bastards."

Now, that I can believe.. I remember seeing Pete's face that day at the Lincoln Memorial. Of course Pete is always happy. So, check it out.. if you care to.. I still wish I could have been there..

Don't Forget Tomorrow St. Jing Tao Wow Day

Let's not forget this important ethnic holiday. A time of blending together of all days to share the best of us all. It is a time to celebrate the stereotype that have been created around each ethnicity. So, each of us should find a way to show our roots and celebrate who we are.

Since most of us are multi ethnic now is the time for us to throw open the flood gates and let our hearts be the guide, to allow us to show the world who we are. St. Jing Tao Wow is our Patron Saint and allows us to be free of constraints and rigid ideology and go with the flow.

So, as a German, Irish, American Indian I am going to cook up some Sauerbraten, Dublin Coddle and Pemmican for my food. My decorations will consist of pictures of Castles of Germany and Ireland, and Cave drawings and dwellings of the Indians along with some of my arrowhead collection, and a Ti Pi my grandmother carried.

So, if you are in the vicinity of my humble abode tomorrow, stop in any time and you may join me in celebrating St Jing Tao Wow Day. If you aren't close enough to stop by here, I hope you are planning your own celebration or will be able to stop by another location.

Among the others that I am certain about are, Nate @ That's Right Nate and Zen @ ZenYenta Those are the only two I know of off the top of my head right now. I am sure there are others and I will be updating and posting as I find out others. Please let me know if you hear of any.

Of course this post would not be complete without letting everyone know that we couldn't have started this if not for Lou Dobbs. He is our inspiration. If not for him and his comments which can be heard here at Media Matters.

So, please everyone, join in to celebrate this wonderful new holiday and maybe next year we can get it as a Federal Holiday and get another day off work for everyone.

Nate's Answer to Classy Cantor

Well, it looks as if we have a response to Classy Eric Cantor's latest video.

Nate of That's Right Nate put together a YouTube and has it set up to answer Cantor's Aerosmith Video. Take a look at his answer. Then go tell him what you think of his work. From my understanding he is a Moderate Conservative, so this is quite a step for him to criticize one of his own so to speak.

I also want to give a hat tip to Zen Yenta for pointing me in the direction of this wonderful video.
