President's Weekly Address: Pushing Forward on Jobs

From the White House web site:

Following the best jobs numbers since 2007, the President recognizes that such trends are cold comfort to those who are struggling and pledges to continue pushing forward towards positive job growth. President Obama looks back at the Jobs Forum he hosted days before and looks ahead to further action. He emphatically restates why he ran for President in the first place: "to fight for a country where responsibility is still rewarded, and hard-working people can get ahead."

I really don't have much to say about this.. I think the President has said it all. How anyone and I do mean ANYONE, can attack this man and say he has not done enough to help the jobs front is just asinine. From the moment he came into office he has done everything he can to help people with their jobs. From Lily Ledbetter to the Recovery Act, it has all been about jobs and helping people.

Sorry, I have just been in a horrible mood lately and listening to the right attack him when the job numbers just keep getting better, and then reading some of the blogs on the left and they are attacking him for jobs, for the war in Afghanistan and everything else just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm guilty of negative talk and thoughts Annette. I need to stop reading negative things because it does affect my thinking. We who have no job and no insurance are just scared and it affects our reasoning. I know in my heart Obama is doing all he can, and its other things like banks refusing to lend, employers laying off because of profit worries. Once we get our confidence back we'll start to see some positve changes. I hope to God the people are patient and not turn away from the Democrats, that would spell disaster going back to rethug rule. WE MUST remember thats how we got to where we are in this friggin mess!

Keep posting positive things so we can stay POSITIVE! We need you Annette! xo

Unlike the deluded fools on the right, the sane and thoughtful people on the left can get by any anger and look at the big picture Annette.

Obama became president at one of the most difficult times in history. He is smart enough to know that snap decisions lead to misery and more problems.

We have to give he and his administration more than ten months to solve the world's problems. We're seeing progress on the jobs front. As confidence in Obama and his decision making grow, so will the economy and the world view of America.

Why talk race RUDE?? I had a comment on race in my latest post too and there was not a mention from me or my commenters about race! The rightwing nutfucks are causing poor race relations not Obama! He is a president of the people and for the people, so stay away from that ridiculous notion!

I very much look forward to see what he actually does. He has some bad advisors.

Rude, my black friends are still my black friends. Could your own attitute be the reason yours aren't?

When you have nothing else to say, you resort to hate and stupidity, that's what you talk about... Thanks Rude for injecting hate and stupidity into the conversation.. we always need someone like you around to help us. /snark off.

Rockin' response, Girlfriend! Yes, our work would be much harder without the Rudes of the world. We don't even have to argue their stupidity, as they prove it unequivocally for us!

And TomCat, I love that you are generous enough to think that Rude had any black friends in the first place. Hooray for your faith in our fellow man! :)

Prejudice is learned. My little ones at school don't care what anyone's race or religion is - everybody plays on the same swings and the same sandbox. It's not until they are bigger and learned to hate from others. Terrific post, Annette. And great comments from all!

Rude has never had any REAL AA friends. He is buying into what Fuchs Noose is selling, and repeating their talking points. He probably bought everything GW Bush was selling and has decided to blame President Obama because he's AA, and he thinks he has no business in the WH. I've seen this before over and over again, because I've experienced it firsthand all of my life.

RudeDud, I am offended that you came to Annette's blog to leave your rat droppings.

You accuse President Obama of being rude and arrogant because you don't know any better. You're like a parrot that repeats what it hears others say.

Great answer Majii.. I knew I could count on you to put him in his place.. Thank you so much. I love that you all took it as it was said and just pushed back and didn't really interact with him.. no reason to, he showed us what his true self was and it wasn't pretty...

Thanks all for your comments and your input, it means a lot to me to have you stop by and visit.

They had to rewrite his speech at the last minute because of new good news about the jobs data.
