Michelle Bachmann Takes On Teddy Kennedy

Recently, there was passed in the House and the Senate a bill which expanded the widely popular and bipartisan Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, which would expand national community service programs from 75,000 positions to 250,000.

Michelle Bachmann, yeah, the crazy lady of the House of Representatives, she who is afraid Pres. Obama is getting rid of the dollar, who told Chris Matthews last fall we needed to investigate all the members of Congress to see if they were Anti-American or not. And the list just goes on and on with this woman.

Well, she is at it again. This time, she is taking on the Edward (Teddy) Kennedy Serve America Act. This Act, which includes AmeriCorps also would create four new service corps. The expansion would cost about $6 billion over five years. The bill would raise the education stipend paid to volunteers to $5,350, the same amount as a Pell Grant college scholarship.

According to Bachmann though, this is not what this bill does. This is the Obama "Re-Education Camp for Young People". Appearing on KTLK-AM Radio this weekend listen to her talk about it. The host, also stated she wanted her to run against Amy Klobachar for the Senate.

Bachmann is not qualified to hold public office, and I think the ONLY reason she is in Congress is because she represents a majority republican district in Minnesota. Why can't her constituents see that she is only seeking attention? If I were one of them, I'd be soooooooo embarrassed to let the entire nation know that she was my congressional rep, or maybe, they just keep voting for her because she has an R beside her name on the ballot. They really should take a closer look at her, and the inane comments that erupt from her mouth.

These people clearly meet the standard of danger to themselves and others. They need inpatient therapy. For quite some time.

What is wrong with that woman? Education Camps? Someone spewing propaganda at her kids? hmmm ... maybe like the private religious school she sends them to?

I can't believe anyone listens to her. If she is the base of the repub party, well let's just say I'll probably never see a repub majority again in my lifetime!

ps, why doesn't she just marry Glen Beck and get it over with?

I wish you would give Representative Bachman a fairer chance. I believe that these camps need investigation. If they have nothing to hide, they won't have any problems with a quick inspection.

As for Representative Kimble...I'm sure inspections will not be a problem. The problem is this woman who "talks to God" and let's her religious rightwing unintelligent mentality rule the game. She is totally whacked! If she ran for any other office or in any other district - she would lose. She and her whacko husband are fringe riders - a fringe that is losing ground rapidly.

You are so far off base about Michelle. I think if you met her you'd see that it is the liberal media that paints her as being on a fringe. You must admit that being able to take to God is extremely useful for any member of the legislature.

Representative Kimble::
I am really curious- WHY are you wasting your time defending her ? And for the record No One Paints her- she SPEAKS and what comes out of her mouth is devisive and worrisome, And I hope you are joking that " talking to God" is useful for Our Reps ? Newsflash:::: that is NOT part of the job description for working for WE THE PEOPLE....

Representative Kimble - you sir need to educate yourself about the rule of separation of church and state. And I take offense to your claim that "being able to take to God" is in any way useful for any one holding a public office

Any one and everyone could stop by these so called "camps" and verify for themselves that what she is saying is hogwash.

I'm not sure who is more deranged - Bachmann for saying this nonsense or someone who defends it.

To follow up...
The Bigger question is Bachman talking to God ? Or the Voices in her head ?.....

scary....

Someone that talks to God shouldn't be allowed to be in congress. Separation of church and state and all that.
