Different look at some History of Gaza and Israel

Here is a take on the History of Gaza from Al Jazeera that shows a different take than what we see here. It is good and infomative. I got it through Juan Cole. His site is so good.

Since the start of Israel's Operation Cast Lead on December 27, at least 890 people have been killed, including 275 children, and another 3,800 wounded, according to Gaza medics. Ten Israeli soldiers and three civilians have been killed in combat or in rocket attacks since the operation began.

My hope is that these bombings will stop. Just stop. I believe that both sides are wrong, both sides are right and it just needs to STOP. Then they can sit down and talk... that's what I think the problem is. No one is making them sit down and talk. Lock them in a room together...just the two leaders... with food and water and make them stay until they figure it out.

Put in an impartial intermediary if needed...someone like Pres. Carter who would stop them if they tried to kill each other, but other than that let them go at each other. Maybe then they could get things figured out.

That's what I would do if I had any power to do anything. It may not work, but it would be a start on something, sometimes you just have to take the simple approach to things.
